General Characteristics of the Pergolas

Pergolas are outdoor spaces, galleries supported by columns, which are usually decorated by different types of plants, standing climbing plants, hanging plants and vines. Usually built on the basis of wood, pergolas are ideal locations to enjoy the garden or outdoor spaces of our home.

The decorative forms are varied, can be more classic style, sober and elegant, while also taking advantage of the natural space and can take a touch more tropical.

Steps for the construction of the pergola

After chosen the site for the construction of the pergola and the size to be the same, we take appropriate measures so that the columns match the cross we will place on the roof. It also scored on the wooden floor just points where the columns will be placed.

After marking the locations where wood columns will, we will make holes in the wooden floor. To do this we must perform them with the exact perimeter of each post. After placing the posts or columns shall be restrained by round head screws, diagonally, it attached to the underside of the floor beam, checking the water level with its necessary righteousness.

Later we went to the placement of the beams, connecting the columns we raised previously. To do this, again with round head screws, tapping twice each of the posts and beams.

Then we came to the placement of the studs. They should be, inevitably, straight and the same distance each secured to the uprights going screws. Finally, we screw fasteners blocks, parallel to the beams and crossing to the studs.
