Varnishes And Lacquers For Metals

This is because the metal coatings are colorless and usually dull, or opaque. This is a very good chance to protect metal parts from rust. There are even paints that can be applied over rusty surfaces, not allowing further deterioration, but kept intact the texture and hardiness.

Recommendations for use
If you want to highlight the metallic sheen of other materials such as copper, bronze, steel and silver, you can use a rust remover, then rinsing and polishing, apply the varnish. It is not advisable to use objects in constant contact with the water and are affected by the presence of heat.

Can be replaced with wood varnish?
No, the metal coating cannot be replaced by wood varnish. Generally the latter yellow and flake on metal surfaces, also contains exclusive oils for wood protection. The metal coating has a formula based on alkyd resins and anticorrosive agents that protects the metal especially.
